the eleventh month.

how is it already november?
the older you get, the faster the years fly by.
throw kids into the mix and time moves at warp speed.
trust me on this.

christmas is less than two months away.
the weather is cooler.
days are getting shorter.

it's the time of the year that relaxes me, yet stresses me out all at the same time.
go figure.

what am i looking forward to this november?

{me & my sissy at disneyland, may 2011}

seeing my sissy...i hope! her birthday is on the 3rd.
and, she may be 4" taller than me, but i'm still the big sister.
{yes, it totally looks like she has an antler growing out of her head...ha ha ha!}

starting my 40 hour observation practicum this month.
i'll spend 20 hours in a 1st grade classroom & 20 hours in the toddler class at my university's child center.
i'm excited, but so nervous, too!

the red cup from starbucks.
need i say more?

wait. yes, i do need to say more.
portion packs of starbucks coffee are now available for keurig junkies like me.
well, they're available in certain stores. the keurig website won't start selling them until december.
late december.

we're hosting dinner this year.
my grandmother & a cousin are coming up from mississippi. i haven't seen either in years.
i'm so excited & cannot wait to spend time with them.

i love this stuff.
yes, i know it jiggles & comes out shaped like a can, but a turkey dinner just isn't a turkey dinner without it.

believe it or not, i'm okay with "falling back."
of course, i say this now.
ask me again when the s.a.d. kicks in.
{psst...don't forget...we fall back this weekend!}

i say "bah humbug" a lot
our christmas tree goes up the day after thanksgiving.
i also start listening to christmas music after i gorge on turkey.

november also means crafting {because homemade gifts are the best gifts} & baking will take over my life.
but, most of all, november is a month of reflection for me.
it's a time for me to remember all that i have and all that i've been given.

be thankful, y'all.
i know i am.
