scarves for sale!

please forgive me for not having these items listed on etsy or a separate blog. until my knitting takes off {read: becomes a somewhat viable source of income a.k.a. justifies my yarn & nail polish obsession}, i'm going to list the things i knit on my blog.

they make great holiday gifts. seriously, do you need a teacher gift? or, what about a stocking stuffer for your sister? and, you can't forget your dear, sweet mother-in-law! i'm just sayin'...

the scarves are $20 each. the price includes first class shipping.
if you want to get it faster, priority mail will cost you an extra $3.50.

want to buy more than one scarf? the first scarf is $20 and each additional scarf is $17.

just leave a comment about which scarf you want!
be sure to leave your email in your comment, please.
or, you can email me, too.
michellechissler {at} gmail {dot} com
scarves will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.

i'll send an invoice for payment.
pay promptly, so i can ship promptly!

scarves will be marked as sold as soon as payment is received.

this is a yummy scarf.
grey shades of soft boucle yarn {97% acrylic/3% polyester}.
it is machine washable & dryable,
BUT
i suggest hand washing this baby.
it is an infinity style scarf {meaning the ends are sewn together}.
it is shown wrapped twice around my neck.
it will stretch with wear.
measurements: approximately 6" wide x 50"

i jokingly call this the "oil slick" scarf.
it's nothing like an oil slick, though.
the color is called barrington which is a deep purple with teal running through it.
{98% acrylic, 2% polyester}
it is machine washable & dryable,
BUT
i suggest hand washing this baby.
it is an infinity style scarf {meaning the ends are sewn together}.
it is shown wrapped twice around my neck.
it will stretch with wear.
measurements: approximately 8" wide x 44"

when i first learned how to knit last winter, i made four scarves out of this yarn.
the color is called edwardian {what's up, twilighters??}.
{98% acrylic, 2% polyester}
out of the four scarves i made, this is the only one left.
i wear one almost daily. the other two were gifted.
it is machine washable & dryable,
BUT
i suggest hand washing this baby.
it is an infinity style scarf {meaning the ends are sewn together}.
it is shown wrapped twice around my neck.
it will stretch with wear.
measurements: approximately 7.5" wide x 54"

i'm slightly obsessed with this particular brand of yarn {stitch nation by debbie stoller}.
this yarn is heavenly.
it's 80% wool, 20% alpaca.
the color? lotus.
this scarf must be hand washed {gently!} in cold water. lay it flat to dry.

first of all, the scarf is not orange and neither is my shirt.
both are actually quite similar in color...bright pink!
but, this is what happens when you take pictures with a flash indoors at night.

take note, too, that this is not an infinity scarf.
it's a bit on the shorter side, but i think it still looks great.
anyways, back to the color...
it's called cheery cherry by vanna's choice.
{what? you didn't know vanna white has a yarn collection??}
it's 100% acrylic BABY yarn.

here's a color swatch so you can really appreciate the color:

i suggest hand washing this baby.
measurements: approximately 6" wide x 56" long

alas, my shirt really looks orange in this picture.
but,
that pretty gray scarf sets if off, don't you think?
this scarf is knit in the same pattern as the one above, but it's longer...much longer.
once again, i used a wool/alpaca blend {80% & 20%, respectively}.
the color? cobblestone.
this scarf must be hand washed {gently!} in cold water. lay it flat to dry.
measurements: approximately 6" wide x 92" long

and, just because, i'm adding the scarves from the other post just so they are all in one spot...

this scarf is approximately 7" wide & 60" long {yep, it's as tall as me! ha!}.
it can be stitched together to be worn as an infinity or circle scarf or left as is {it's a bit on the "short scarf" side if left as is}.
knit using a seed stitch.

made from 100% acrylic baby yarn
color: goldfish {a fun, salmon color}

not to be confused with the previous scarf, this one is orange.
pumpkin, to be exact.
again, knit using 100% acrylic yarn in a basic knit or garter stitch.
it is approximately 8" wide & about 55" in length {before sewing the ends together}.
this scarf IS an infinity or circle scarf.
it can be worn as is or looped twice around your neck.
please note, the yarn will stretch over time so don't be discouraged by the size of the scarf.

finally, something that is not an infinity scarf!
it was supposed to be, but i ran out of yarn. whoops!
it's approximately 9" x 45".
i'm 5' tall & i have a short torso, so when this scarf is around my neck the ends come to my hips.
perfect if you're looking for a shorter scarf or great for a young, tweeny girl!
the color is gorgeous. it's called mermaid.
the yarn is 55% viscose from bamboo & 45% wool.
the scarf was knit using the seed stitch.

make me a happy girl...buy them all!

and, i must give photography credit to my 10 year old daughter, malia.
it's all basic, i know, but as i get better at this knitting thing, so will the pictures of my finished products...promise.

remember, scarves are first come, first serve.
they are $20 each {any additional scarves you buy are $17}.
i'll invoice you via paypal.

have any questions or want to commission me to make a custom scarf?
just ask.
