designer dog?

earlier this month we took our kids to the skinny dip for some froyo and as we were leaving malia noticed a dog in the car parked next to us. 

malia:  oooh, look at the cute dog!

aidan:  what kind is it?

adam:  i don't know.  maybe a retriever of some kind?

me:  i think it's one of those goldendoodles.

adam:  a what? 

me:  you know, a golden retriever & poodle mix.  they call it a designer breed.

malia:  isn't that like a snickerdoodle?
