You Got Nothin'!

Aidan: Mommy, can you fix me some eggs for a snack? (he likes to eat scrambled eggs)

Me: No, I'm fixing dinner, son. Besides, we're out of eggs and Mommy forgot to buy them at the store. (We just finished the last of the 2.5 dozen we had in the fridge over the weekend...it's sick, I tell ya.)

Aidan: Awww. Well, can you fix me some bacon for a snack then?

Me: No, son, I told you...I'm fixing dinner. We don't have any bacon anyways. (dinner was on the stove...)

Aidan: *sigh* Well, then what about some hot dogs? Can you fix me a hot dog for a snack?

Me: Aidan, I've already told you more than once that I'm fixing dinner. It's chicken & broccoli...it's one of your favorites. And, we don't have any hot dogs.

Aidan: *more whining* Geez, Mom, you got nothing!
