slightly obsessed.

okay, so maybe it's not an obsession, but it's definitely one heck of a collection.

take one look around my home & you'll see shells...everywhere.

well, maybe not everywhere.

{but, we do have shells in our front flower bed.}

shells that i've found & collected over the years.

cockles. moon snails. coquinas. lettered olives. scotch bonnets.

{the star & the BIG sand dollar were purchases.}

it is my favorite shell - probably because it's so hard to find a whole one.

there is even a picture frame in my bedroom that is rimmed with shells i found in florida.

some people go to the beach to lay out.  others go to surf.  

not me, i grab a bucket & walk the shoreline in search of...

more shells.

sunday service.

this is where we go on sundays.

{well, at least adam & the kids.  last sunday i took advantage of the quiet time and napped at home.}

sandbridge is our sunday morning {or late afternoon} hangout spot.  we go with a friend & his kids. 
frolicking in the surf.  chasing sand fiddler crabs.  finding seashells & sand dollars.  catching a glimpse of a pod of dolphins.

there isn't a better way to end the week.  there isn't a better way to begin the week.

Sand dollars, that is! Oh, and a couple starfish, too!

In all of my time beachcombing, I have never, ever found a whole sand dollar NOR have I ever found a starfish, but during our most recent trip to Ocracoke Island, NC over the Memorial Day weekend, I got lucky!

Not all of what's shown in the picture is mine, but I am definitely a happy girl to be able to add some sand dollars (the ones on the left...even the two teeny, tiny ones!) & a starfish (the bigger one) to my shell collection!
